FREELAND, MI – Freeland and Saginaw Heritage met in a women’s soccer match on Wednesday, May 19 that ended in a 0-0 draw.

It was Heritage’s last regular season game, ending at 7-6-2 and giving Freeland a 9-0-4 record heading into Thursday’s Tri-Valley Conference East championship game against Essexville Garber. .

Heritage will take the day off next week before playing a home game on Wednesday, May 26, in a Division 2 pre-district game against Traverse City Central.

Even though the score ended in a tie, that did not prevent the game from being hard contested. The physicality on the pitch was captured in these footage by multimedia specialist MLive Jake May.
