WHEATFIELD – “Watch out for all the alumni of women’s KV football! Wondering if you still have it? Thinking about getting back in shape? Fancy taking on other Kougars? We have exactly what you need. should!”

So reads the flyer posted online seeking to attract the return of former Kankakee Valley women’s football stars to try another shot.

KVHS has scheduled its annual Alumni Game where the current crop of players go head to head against players from the past.

The Lady Kougars will face their former players on Saturday, July 24 in a match at 6 p.m. Game.

“We hope everyone can join us under the lights to continue a tradition of KVHS football,” said girls assistant coach Bethany Clark.

College coach Mica Serdar is always on the lookout for former players and anyone interested is urged to head to the KVHS athletics page and complete the attached Google document form with their contact details.

The event is a fundraiser for the benefit of players by allowing the purchase of items needed for the seasons. The game will take place on the soccer field at Kankakee Valley High School.
